Scout Challenge
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Venture Crews are invited to enter tandem teams in open canoes for races conducted in the tidal section of the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, Virginia. These races will be held in conjunction with the Great Rappahannock Whitewater Canoe Race.
Scout teams will race from Old Mill Park to the Route 3 Bridge and return (about 2 miles of moving flat water). A mass start will be used and Troops may enter as many as two teams. Old Town canoes are provided for all the teams in this race. Troops planning to participate need to contact Bill Micks in advance to register your team.
